Practical Patchwork
dedicated to quilt pioneer
Marie D. Webster
Through its publications,
Practical Patchwork exists to create a wider public awareness
of the unique quilt designs and other achievements of Marie Webster,
author, businesswoman and one of the early 20th century's most
innovative and successful quilt designers.
Under the direction of
her granddaughter, Rosalind
Webster Perry, Practical Patchwork has published
a new, edition of Marie Webster's pioneering 1915 book, Quilts, Their Story
and How to Make Them,
the first American book on quilting and quilt history.
We are also dedicated
to publishing Marie Webster's collected quilt patterns.
Twelve of her most popular
designs, complete with full instructions and color photographs,
are featured in the first pattern book, entitled A Joy Forever. (Out of
Print)
Rosalind Perry and Marty
Frolli have just completed the second Marie Webster pattern book,
entitled Marie
Webster's Garden of Quilts. This new book features 14 additional classic
Webster designs, most of them never before published.
All these books are available
through the Practical Patchwork web site. Please go to our How to Order page. We
now accept credit cards (Visa & Mastercard)
